Revisiting American wardrobe classics with a modern twist, that is the project of Hartford, envisioned by Yves Chareton in the United States in 1979. A decisive encounter would launch the adventure: a New York manufacturer sold him old stocks of Oxford and chambray fabrics, perfect for making the first vintage-inspired Hartford shirts, which were unavailable on the market. A few years later, the studio returned to Paris. The brand took shape, and commercial development began: the collections expanded and became synonymous with flawless quality in terms of materials and style.
